What is the difference between O1 and O2 credits?

Where am I?

OxygenBeta (O1) vs. Oxygen (O2)

In short, O1 is a test version of O2 without any links to real carbon absorbed by trees. It's developed to see how O2 would work in a smart-contract.

OxygenBeta (O1)

O1 is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum minted at a rate of 0.000001 per second from each planted tree. The O1 supply is not fixed.

Oxygen (O2)

O2 is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum pegged to carbon absorbed by Treejer trees. O2 is minted in the case of proving the existence of reference tree. The token minting rate is based on allometric equations of each species. The O2 supply is not fixed but it's strictly controlled. O2 is only supplied from proven planted trees. Trees prove-of-existence is conducted through a number of oracles.
